The omicron variant of the corona virus has caused fear around the world. Most mutated versions of this virus have been found. In just two days, this variant was found in 11 countries. The corona delta had two mutations. So far, more than 30 mutations have been found in the Omicron variant. Therefore, the World Health Organization has said that this variant is worrisome.

On November 28, infected patients with this variant were found in 11 countries. According to some experts, the Omicron variant has spread to dozens of countries, including South Africa. He also expressed fears that some patients from other countries would be found gradually.
Variants found in these countries
The Omicron variant of the Corona has been found in countries in Europe as well as Africa. It originated in Botswana. However, Africa is the first country to diagnose this variant. It has already spread to Britain, Belgium, Germany, Israel, the Czech Republic, Italy, Hong Kong and Australia before the ban on air travel. Two patients have been found in the Netherlands, but their authenticity is being verified.
What a threat to India
India had imposed restrictions on international air travel in the first and second waves of the Corona from March 2020. However, there were some air bubble agreements for the travel of Indian and foreign nationals. According to this, India can transport at full capacity to important countries around the world. At present, India operates air transport in 31 countries under the Air Bubble Agreement.
Therefore, the number of people coming to India from abroad is huge. India has air bubble agreements with three of the countries where the Omicron variant has been found. These include Britain, Germany and the Netherlands. Special attention is being paid to those coming to India from these countries. The central government had announced to start flights to all countries from the 15th. However, a high-level meeting convened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday (Dec. 27) suggested reconsideration of the decision.
